This Privacy Policy explains how Project Songsheet ("the App", "we", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our web application at https://project-songsheet.web.app. By using the App you agree to the practices described below.
Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account email address, display name, and user ID through Firebase Authentication. We do not receive or store your Google account password.
Song and songbook data. Content you create or import — song lyrics, ChordPro files, songbook names, and related metadata — is stored in Google Firestore under your account.
Google Drive access. If you connect a Google Drive folder to a Drive-backed songbook, the App
requests the drive.readonly OAuth scope. This allows the App to list and read the contents of your
Drive folders so your ChordPro files can be synced and displayed. We do not modify, delete, or share any of your
Drive files. Drive access tokens are used only during an active session and are not stored on our servers.
Usage analytics. The App uses Google Analytics (Firebase Analytics) to collect anonymized usage data such as page views, feature interactions, and session duration. This data does not identify you personally and is used solely to improve the App.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is shared only with the following service providers necessary to operate the App:
Your account data and song content are retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete individual songs, songbooks, or your entire account at any time through the App. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention policies (26 months by default).
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at Lijins7425@gmail.com and we will delete that information promptly.
We use industry-standard security measures including Firebase's built-in security rules, HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, and Google's infrastructure for data at rest. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at the email below. You may also revoke the App's Google Drive access at any time through your Google Account permissions page.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
